TEA ROOM CONCERT
In the morning I went to my old man’s club at McDonalds. For anyone interested in what we talked about, we spent most of the morning talking about the difference between diesel fuel and how it powers an engine and the gas you put in your car. It was the chemist and engineer among us who were excited about this. I hardly understood a word. This hardly conveys why I have such a good time with my octogenarian friends on Friday mornings. It isn’t what we talk about as you can see. It is that we are shoulder to shoulder in McDonalds enjoying each other’s company no matter what we talk about.
On the way home I spent a couple of hours in my storage unit feeling my way through books I had loved but now was going to get rid of.

In the evening I went with Susie to Primrose’s Tea Tent in the studios on the island and listened to a trio of musicians play and sing. It was a good day.
