DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY
Today was Martha’s 60th birthday and I was invited, along with Susie, to attend her dance party at the Peri Social House in Black Mountain. Martha has been celebrating her birthday for a month. I thought it was only her 60th birthday she was celebrating so intensely, but Jeff assured me that she celebrates every birthday often and with gusto.
We ate snacks and talked. Several people who had gone with Martha to Mexico last month were there along with Susan and James from the night before and Martha’s daughter Lucy and her partner. The women all danced, the men all sat and watched and we had a great time.
