APRIL 11, SATURDAY

HANNOVER FLEA MARKET

We got started a little late and then drove to Hannover, about 30 miles away, by back roads through little villages to visit the large flea market by the Leine River in the center of town. The flea market was on the two sides of the river with crosswalks that made a complete circle which we slow wandered our way through, buying a few old discarded but often beautiful handmade things and taking many photographs

.

Following the flea market in the mid afternoon we drove back to Winsen and had a late lunch in the Haimat Museum, a cluster of preserved farm buildings where there is also a good restaurant.
