HAARLEM DAY ONE
Neice Henny met us and we had a marvelous day, first napping at her house and then being driven through the huge sand dunes to the North Sea where we walked with hundreds of other people on their Easter Sunday walks along the beach in the sunshine on a chilly day with everyone wrapped in overcoats.
After a good dinner at her house with husband Bertrand and daughter Chiara we went to bed. Neice Henny is German and speaks German with Chiara, Bertrand, her husband, is French and speaks French with Chiara, Henny and Bertrand don’t speak each others languages and communicate in English which Chiara is also fluent in. Chiara has learned Dutch in Holland and is taking Spanish classes.
