MARCH 28, SATURDAY

NO KINGS PROTEST

Today were held protests against Donald Trump, all across the United States and even abroad. As many as 8 million people protested, the largest protest in American history. Certainly, in Asheville, there were more people at this protest than ever before, spilling out from the center in front of the courthouse in all directions, all the way up to Pack Square. There were speeches and then after the speeches, which I was too far away from to hear clearly, there was a march that filled the streets up to the Heywood street and then back again to Pack Square. There were all kinds of signs, often obscene ones, held by cheerful old ladies. There were plenty of young people but even more elderly people with their signs. I walked along on the march and photographed and photographed. Whenever I don’t have anything to say on a day I will display more photographs.
