CHAI PANI (TEA WATER)
Tonight I went with my son Tom and his family along with Susie to Chai Pani, a marvelous Indian restaurant on the South Slope of Asheville for the evening buffet. The food was authentic and delicious. But it was the atmosphere of the place that made the evening special. The owner of Chai Pani, Meherwan Irani a James Beard outstanding restaurant winner, grew up in India and has decorated the restauarant with marigolds (fake but beautiful) and all the colors of India. It was a special evening.
