OLD MAN’S GROUP
Every Friday when I meet my old man’s coffee group at the Black Mountain McDonalds it is special, not only for me but for all of us. We always let each other know if we won’t be there. Paul Magnarella is still in Florida at his home there where he taught at Florida State before retiring and coming to Warren Wilson to teach. He is delayed in returning because he is having an eye operation. Dusty Benedict couldn’t come because he was picking up a visiting neice at Greenville Spartenburg airport. Dean Kahl wasn’t there without explanation and Don Collins was going to call him and find out how he was doing. I have no idea what we talked about but we sat together for an hour and a half bathing in each other’s presence and then said goodbye.
