On the 11th of every month I am a month older. Time seems to be speeding up, or rather, the time that I have left seems to be shortening more and more rapidly. I never used to keep track of time and always had trouble shifting to the new year, 2026 this year that I am just getting used to but by the time I get used to it it will be gone. But now I notice the passing of time. When I was in the Army for two years in 1960, I kept track as did everyone else, 147 days and a wake-up. The last day didn’t count but we knew precisely how many days we had left until we were free again.
I don’t remember what else happened this day, but this is enough.
