LETTING GO
At the end of a trip overseas something deep inside me begins to bend back toward home as the trip is coming to an end. Part of me is always anticipating the future, so the trip begins to end before it ends. At this point I had been in San Miguel for two weeks.
For two weeks I have felt the richness and friendliness of Mexican culture. Today while the yoga group was taking the taxi ride and the hike to see a pyramid I was walking through San Miguel to find things that I wanted to take home with me that would let me hold on to the beauty and color of San Miguel and Mexico. I walked through the Artisan Market to the shops near Aurora Fabrica, with its galleries and artist’s studios.
