The axe didn’t fall. Sunday I finished packing. But with only a carryon bag and a backpack, packing was easy. I took just what I’ve taken on every trip, two shirts, two pairs of pants, underclothes and, most importantly, my iPad, my coffee cup warmer, my battery powered Ember coffee cup and the coffee cup charger. If my coffee stays hot everything else will be all right. Everything fit with plenty of room for a heavy sweater, heavy vest and winter coat and neck pillow, all of which if I need more room on the way back, I can wear and free up space.
Then I went to church and out to dinner with a group of five church ladies and finally went to my son’s house to spend the night before my trip.
