HIGH DIVERS THEN LITTLE MAZARN PLAYING THE BANJO AND SAW
Tonight I heard two bands in Marshall. The first was the High Divers who played on the patio of Zadie’s, loud and lively and great fun.

The second was at Primerose’s tea tent in the Marshall artist studios. After Primrose did a Crankie show, which I show here, a young woman sang softly accompanied by an older man who a played haunting sliding wailing sound on a wood handsaw with a violin bow with the bend of the saw changing the notes. And then, even more improbably, he got a similar sound out of a xylophone by pulling the violin bow over the ends of the flat metal bars that are usually tapped on.
