HANNAH’S BIRTHDAY
My granddaughter Hannah, who invited me first to her graduation a month ago and then to Germany turned 22 today. In our family her Oma (grandmother) kept track of birthdays and always had a nice present ready. Since Kathe died 4 years ago I have been blindsided by birthdays and Christmas, never ready, never giving gifts, always giving money. But this time I picked out a gift, a handmade bag to sling over her shoulder from FLOW in Marshall on the wild chance that she would like it, and at the birthday party I attended, she did.
