DRIVE TO MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
Susie and I left Marshall at 9:30 in the morning for the 2 1/2 hour drive through the mountains to Knoxville, Tennessee to the home of Lauren, Kathy’s sister, who drove us in her large car the 5 hours to Memphis on the Tennessee border with Arkansas on the mighty Mississippi River where Hannah, my granddaughter, has been going to college for the past four years for Hannah’s graduation ceremony. Here Kathy, Hannah’s mom, had rented a large Airbnb with a number of bedrooms and a large turquoise pool out back. We sat around and ate pizza and reminisced for the evening and then went to bed early. It was a very full and tiring day.
