DECEMBER 20, FRIDAY

SOLSTICE PARADE

The second event on Saturday was the yearly Solstice parade in which a woman who organizes the yearly parade with help from others made 80 brightly colored lanterns for people to carry in a parade through the dark, empty streets of Marshall, starting from the Old Marshall Jail where a large crowd congregated on a cold winter night and then sang as they walked through Marshall, passing Chadd’s Christmas decorated tattoo parlor, the brightest place in town.
