FLOW POP UP SALE

This is the first of three events that happened in Marshall on Saturday, winter solstice. The buildings of Marshall are all hollowed out after tropical storm Helene caused the French Broad River to rise almost 30 feet swirling through the first floor of every building in Marshall, breaking windows and forcing the stripping of walls and floors, after two feet of mud everywhere, was carted away. That was almost three months ago. But the people of Marshall are eager to return to normal and Saturday was a day of celebration.

Flow is an artist own store with a bright red door and window frames where my wife Kathe used to sell hand made hats and other objects. Mud filled it after Helene, but now parts of the floor and the walls and the windows have been replaced and on a cold Saturday night the artist owners had assembled a pop up store or hand made Christmas gifts and had a sale with hot cider served. The little store, with much refitting still to be done was filled with people and business was brisk. Flow and Marshall were back in business
