Today I am adding another 20 portraits of volunteers who are working in the Nanostead operations center or are making their way through the center to muddy Marshall. Again I have asked people for their name, their email address so that I can send them copies of their photographs, the work they do in the normal world and the volunteer flood relief work they are doing in Marshall as well as where they live. I try to include two contrasting photographs for each person.
Photographing people is a good way to meet people and to learn about their experience of Helene. Some people have lost everything and some have barely been touched. But everyone has stories to tell about their own experience or the experience of neighbors. If anyone has a story that I could attach to their photographs I would like like to do it. Send me the story at rehsom@mac.com and I will include it. If I have made any mistakes in typing your information let me know that as well. Corrections are easy to make. On WordPress when you enter billybaba.com on a computer you get a number of dates but when you click on one, such at October 15 or 16 where these photos are, nothing seems to happen. You have to then scroll down the page until you get to the actual entry. It seems to work easier on an a cell phone. Sorry it isn’t simpler.
