SEPTEMBER 19, THURSDAY

ALONE

Susie left at 4 in the morning, flying first to Miami, then Atlanta and finally Asheville where she arrived at 7 p.m. totally exhausted and then had trouble getting from the airport to my house by Uber.

I spent the whole day sitting here in the 14th floor apartment with the view of Bogata out the window, not stepping out once. So I have nothing to report. Instead I will show some photographs of Bogata wall art which is everywhere. It no longer seems like illegal graffiti painted in the middle of the night. It is more a form of art. And while Asheville has a great deal of wall art in the River Arts District and West Asheville, here it is everywhere, often multistories high on the sides of high rise buildings. Some I have seen while walking and some I have attempted to photograph with my iPhone from taxi windows as they zip along. So here are a few.
