MUSEUMHOF

It rained in the morning but after lunch (half of the remaining leftovers after the huge meal last night) the sun came out and I ventured out to make panorama photographs of Winsen which I’ve found look terrific on the Vision Pro. I walked through Winsen making panorama shots of typical Winsen streets to the Museumhof, the restored 17th century village at the edge of Winsen. By the time I got there the sky was overcast and by the time I had made panorama photos and was making a video of the buildings it had started to lightly rain.

I raced back (in my case this means walking slightly faster with the feeling I was racing) to my apartment and then was off to meet Elke to go to a Catholic service in a beautiful Catholic Church which is about to be abandoned by the church because there is no priest to staff it. There were about 15 people there who are trying to keep the church alive. Women of the church had chosen readings and we sang hymns. Nothing was familiar and it occurred to me that this was probably the first time I had attended a Catholic Church service. Again I was clueless. Following the short service we sat down to a meal of homemade bread and cheese and places of raw vegetables.

Then we came back to Elke and Heinrich’s house and play Skipbo late into the evening.
