IDES OF MARCH

The Ides of March, middle of March, when Ceasar was stabbed by Brutus and a holy day, often connected with the new year, in ancient Rome. It was on this auspicious day that we met the Classical School of Lake Lure on a field trip dressed for St. Patrick‘s Day, tomorrow, as they had a snack in the Black Mountain McDonalds where my old man‘s group was meeting. Our old man‘s group discussed the history of Palestine going back to the Old Testament and then the connections of royal families of Europe starting with William and Catherine and the doctored photograph and then talked of other less consequential things. I don‘t know what the St. Patrick‘s day group talked about. On the auspicious Ides of March, for a moment our paths crossed, probably never to cross again.
