NEW SCIENCE PROGRAM
Yesterday afternoon I was taken with the Gandhian ladies to see the new science room provided by the Vikram B. Sarabhai foundation where there were a wide array of practical science demonstrations for which Ashram teachers are going to be trained and then share with the students and community members.
After we looked at these ways of sharing science which included a model of a torso with removable body parts and a high powered telescope the children were assembled for a demonstration of a plastic bottle rocket powered by compressed air. Just as at Cape Canaveral after one dud flight that flopped over, the second try, which I was unable to film, soared high in the sky to the great delight of the students.
