ANTIPAROS: THE LAST DAY OF SUMMER

On Monday we were going to get a rental car, then were told there were no rental cars available in Naousa because the season was over (we were crushed) and then told that Sarandopoulos would be by with a Fiat Panda in 10 minutes for $25 a day.

So we gathered our things and were off on a ride. First we rode to Parokia to learn about ferries to Greek islands on the way to Athens at the end of our trip (very complicated because they don’t run every day) and then we decided to go to Pounda and to take the twenty minute, $10 with car, ferry ride to Antiparos, a smaller island beside Poros. It was a wonderful, exhilarating ride across the island to Livadia Beach where we were the only people. The crescent sandy beach had crystal clear water. The sun was shining and the water wasn’t cold.

And then we circled back to the ferry and drove back to Naousa. It was a full day.
