TAORMINA AGAIN
After the hotel buffet breakfast Tom and I took the bus to Taormina. We didn‘t have much luck with buses, we had to wait 45 minutes for the bus to Taormina and an hour for the bus on the way back, trading $50 in taxi fares for $6 in bus fares.
We walked through the town on Umberto Orso and then have a marvelous Italian meal of lagsagna cooked the Italian way, almost fried, and a wonderful antipasta of mozzarella cheese and tomatoes with olive oil, along with beer and water. And then we went to see the enormous Greek/Roman amphitheater and imagined the Sicilian past. There were views in every direction from the top of the amphitheater. It was a full day.
