AVENUE 18 DE JULIO
Sunday my destination was the crowded street market that takes place every Sunday in the Cordon section of Montevideo off of the Avenue 18 de Julio. I never found it. The next day, Monday, I decided to visit the Historia del Arte museum, also on Avenue 18 de Julio. I walked and walked and finally found it. It was closed. So these photographs are of some of the people I found who were out walking or shopping as I wandered back and forth on the broad Avenue 18 de Julio on two successive sunny but chilly winter evenings.
