SARANDI STREET, MONTEVIDEO
My airbnb is on the fifth floor of 365 Sarandi Street at the corner of Alzaibar Street about 3 long blocks from the waterfront. It is a pedestrian street with palm trees down the edge of the street. All along the street vendors have set up tables where they sell all kinds of items including books and toys and crafts of various kinds. The street is lined with stores of every kind: restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores, grocery stores. It is a great place to be living for a month. Here are some of the photographs I took as I went out looking for an ATM and a grocery store.
