On Wednesday Susie and I boarded the Amtrak Carolinian #79 at 7:25 a.m. and were on time all the way to Raleigh at 5:22 p.m.. Then we took our car out of municipal parking ($60 for five days) and drove back to Asheville, arriving at about 10 p.m..
