MARCH 15, WEDNESDAY

GEX, FRANCE

All I saw of Geneva and Gex, the village where Mary and Craig have a house, is Mont Blanc. We arrived on Sunday and on Monday I suddenly was coughing and sneezing and was congested and felt lousy. I tested for Covid and was cleared. It was simply a bad cold. For three days I spent most of my time in bed and didn’t leave the house. Mary went to work, Craig had things to do, Todd and Susie went for long walks and I blew my nose and coughed and sneezed, wearing a mask and trying not to infect anyone else. So this photograph is Mont Blanc out of Mary and Craig’s large window was all I saw for three days. But by Thursday, the worst of the cold was over and I was ready for the nine hour train trip through Switzerland and up through Germany to Celle.
