SOURWOOD FESTIVAL IN BLACK MOUNTAIN

As I write this on Sunday I am finishing up the giant fried turkey leg and the a blooming onion a huge onion sliced and dipped in batter which opens up when deep fried. Both are only available once or twice a year at the Western North Carolina Fair or at other fairs and haven’t been available for awhile because of the pandemic. I am washing it all down with lemonade which was for sale all over the fair.
