NEW ORLEANS

When planning the trip I thought I would have two days in New Orleans, but because of schedule changes and misreading the schedule, I only had one. And this was shortened when the Sunset Limited arrived in New Orleans four hours late at 2 a.m. and I got to bed at 3. In one day I did three things: ate well in New Orleans because everyone had told me that I needed to, took the hop-on, hop-off bus, sitting in the sun on the roof in 93 degree heat so that I could see the town and take photographs and walked around in the French Quarter where my old fashioned Olivier House Hotel built out of four combined town houses was located. I had a full and good day. In the afternoon while I was napping the sky thundered and poured and the street outside was a foot deep with no where to run off to. In the evening it was cool. It will take me a couple of days to show what New Orleans looked like to me.
