PEOPLE
When we moved her Asheville was a tourist town. But in the last ten years it has become flooded with tourists. Hotel after hotel has sprung up and there are restaurants everywhere. Cars are lined up leading to the Biltmore House. And because of the pandemic, as in Paris, the restaurants are pushing out onto the sidewalks or even into parking areas. So these are some of the people I saw today in my hour’s walk downtown on this Memorial Day weekend. There is no way of knowing but I’m guessing almost everyone is from out of town.
