LOST
On a beautiful Easter Sunday we went to church, briefly, because there were no seats left and the sermon in French seemed interminable. Instead we went on a walk and got lost. Susie wanted to show me an section behind Montmartre where an old rail line had been turned into a walkway and garden but GPS led us astray. We walked and we walked through what was largely an African area. Because of it’s colonial past Paris has a very large African population. It was almost like walking through Chandni Chowk, Delhi with the sidewalks lined with vendors selling clothing and vegetables and fish and with a number of shops selling cooked food to go. So it turned out to be another Parisian adventure. Finally we got to the green walkway and a train station converted to a restaurant, La Recyclerie, who maintain the walkway, where we had a very environmentally proper lunch with all kinds of vegetables.
