SALON IN PARIS

The salon group of English speaking mostly expatriate Americans met at Bistro Vivienne in the very upscale glass roofed shopping arcade near the Palais Royale garden where we later had a picnic lunch. The gathering of about a dozen people was led by very vivacious Becky Dolinsky who lives with her husband and two teenage sons in Paris. It was a very lively group of artists of all kinds. After the picnic we went to Becky’s studio and she showed us her paintings.

Leeann Brown, with a home in Marshall was there with her husband, Tony Torn, a filmmaker. Leeann teaches at St. John’s University where they have a home in New York. She had invited us to the Salon where she read about twenty of her poems and got responses from members of the group. I am including photographs of the gathering and then a selection of photographs of Becky Dolinsky and a small group of us in her studio.
