APRIL 10, SUNDAY

PALM SUNDAY

Susie arrived yesterday at 6 a.m. having slept much better with her fractured back than I did on my flight. It was a glorious sunny Palm Sunday and the streets of Montmartre were crowded with people. Our first stop was to buy croissants in a backery for breakfast. For lunch we ate a good natural foods meal of tomato soup, salad and tarting (walnut paste with cubes of orange squash) and then walked through Montmartre along with thousands of others.

It was also the first round of the French election which took place out of sight.
