CHAMPS D’ELYSEES

Yesterday was a bright, blustery day. I waited for the Amazon man to come by and received my packages in mid afternoon without a problem. Then I decided to try out my new monthly metro pass to take a walk on the Champs D’Elysees, which left me completely tuckered out after a three hour walk. I went to bed at 8, exhausted and also because I planned to see the final four basketball games in New Orleans which started at midnight and would continue until six a.m.. I missed the first game but exalted in Carolina’s win over Duke to take them to the championship game on Monday at 3 a.m..

What impressed me on my walk was the elegance of the people walking, the elegance of the stores on the Charmps D’Elysees and, most of all, the grandeur of Paris with elegant buildings and gardens everywhere.

Thousands of people were making the same stroll. Here are some of the things that touched me. I will continue with some more tomorrow.
